He Meets Us in Solitude

Solitude is an essential place for restless hearts and anxious minds. It is not an easy place, since we are more at ease with distractions, and immediate satisfaction, than having to examine our lives, addictions, or self centered nature. It can be a lonely place. But there is One who will also meet us in solitude, One who says, "Do not fear, I am with you, and will guide you from darkness and into the light of Me."

  1. If we don't learn to spend time with our Lord in solitude.. much like Jesus when He would get up early in the morning to meet with His Father... or steal away late at night, even in the middle of a 'revival meeting'.. to be alone with His Father, we are missing the largest potential of our life in Him. Life's worldly distractions are excuse enough for most of us.. it's too bad we don't realize that if we give Him first place, all these other things in our lives have a tendency to line up in our favor. We need to be reminded more about our need to experientially KNOW Him in solitude... it always results in more fruit in our lives.
