Children are parents' long term guests. They come into the space created for them, stay for a while, then leave to create their own space. Although parents speak about "our children," their children are not their property. The greatest gift parents can give, is their love for God, each other, and lovingly guiding them towards maturity, and freedom in making their own decisions.
